Claiming your AX Index score
This is the agreement that applies when you verify domain ownership and choose whether your AX Index score is published under your company's name or stays anonymous. Short by design — questions to contact@prolectio.com.
1. What claiming does
Claiming requires proving you control the domain in question, via the same one-time DNS-TXT record used elsewhere on the dashboard. Once verified, you can see the FULL private report behind your company's AX Index row — the composite score, the per-surface-class heatmap, and the rationale behind each class's grade — before deciding anything about publication.
2. Your choice: publish named, or stay anonymous
After reviewing the full report, you choose one of two options:
- Publish named — your company and its current score appear, by name, on the public AX Index and any leaders/summary pages Prolectio publishes.
- Stay anonymous — your company is never named on any public page. Your score may still be reflected in anonymized, aggregate distribution statistics (e.g. band counts, percentiles, category medians) with no company name or identifying detail attached.
You can change this choice at any time by claiming again — the most recent decision is what takes effect. One editorial exception exists: the public leaders page names the field's top scorers favorably under our published methodology, no claim required. A recorded "stay anonymous" decision removes your company from that page too — it is the one binding opt-out — and beyond the leaders page, nothing is published, and nothing changes about what's published, without a decision recorded under this agreement.
3. Score display terms
Every score shown to you — and any score published under "publish named" — is our automated, dated assessment, produced by a published, versioned methodology applied to observable inputs (deterministic checks, a pinned-model rubric, and live micro-task probes; see the full methodology). It is an opinion as of a scan date, not a statement of fact about your company's products, security posture, legal standing, or business, and not a certification that any site is legally sufficient, secure, or compliant. Scoring your legal or auth surface classes measures only whether an agent can locate and parse those pages — never their legal adequacy or security strength.
4. Methodology version
This agreement's score terms apply to whatever methodology version scored your report — currently rubric v0.2. A later rubric revision does not retroactively change an already-published score; a re-scan under the current rubric is available on request via the same disputes & corrections process everyone else on the Index uses.
5. Revocation — un-publish on request
If you chose "publish named" and later want your company un-published, email contact@prolectio.com from a company address with the domain in question. We honor un-publish requests within a reasonable delay — the revocation is recorded against your original claim and your company is treated as anonymous from that point forward, on every public surface, without needing a new claim decision. Revoking publication does not delete your underlying report or verification record; it only stops your name from being shown publicly.
6. What this agreement doesn't do
- It doesn't let you buy, negotiate, or otherwise change your score — claiming reveals and lets you publish/un-publish a score, it never edits one.
- It doesn't obligate Prolectio to score a domain that isn't already in the AX Index — claiming only applies to a company already scored.
- It doesn't override the Terms of Service or Privacy Policy, which continue to apply to your account and data in full.
