Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of prolectio.com and the services Prolectio ("we", "us") provides. By running an audit, booking a call, or paying for a service, you agree to them. If you are agreeing on behalf of a business, you confirm you are authorized to bind it.

1. Our services

  • Free Audit: an automated review of a website's publicly visible homepage, with a grade, category scores and recommendations.
  • Deep Audit ($139.99, one time): an automated review of up to 25 publicly visible pages of one website, delivered as a private report link.
  • Optimization & Redesign Plan: a free consultation, by video call or email, with a redesign recommendation and a fixed quote. No obligation.
  • Website redesign: design and build of a new website: Starter (up to 6 pages), Growth (up to 12 pages), or Custom (scope set in a written quote).
  • Monthly add-ons: Hosting + Security, Maintenance, AI Chatbot, and SEO Monitoring + Monthly Report.

Current prices are published at prolectio.com/pricing. The price shown at checkout or in your written quote is the price that applies to your order.

2. Audits

Audits read only pages that anyone can view on the public internet. They identify themselves, honor robots.txt, and never log in, submit forms, or change anything on the audited site. You may audit any publicly accessible website. Do not use audits to overload, probe, or attack a site.

Audit results are automated, dated assessments produced by our published checks. They are guidance, not a guarantee, a certification of legal compliance (including accessibility law), or a statement of fact about any business. Websites change; results describe the site as it was when audited.

3. Redesign projects

  • Scope. Your tier sets the number of pages. A "page" is a unique page layout with its own content (for example Home, About, a service page, Contact). Blog posts and legal pages do not count toward the limit. Work outside the agreed scope is quoted separately before we do it.
  • What you provide. Your logo, photos, service details, and any text you want used, plus the access needed to launch (for example your domain registrar or DNS). We may write or suggest copy. You are responsible for the accuracy of your business information and for having the rights to the materials you send us.
  • Revisions. Each project includes two rounds of revisions on the design before we build. Additional rounds are quoted in advance.
  • Approval and launch. We launch after you approve the finished site. Timelines we give are good-faith estimates and depend on how quickly you provide materials and feedback. If a project is paused waiting on you for more than 60 days, we may close it. The cancellation terms in section 5 then apply.

4. Payment

  • Deposit and balance. Redesigns are paid 50% when you sign up (the deposit) and 50% at launch (the balance). At checkout you authorize us to charge the balance to the same card when you approve the finished site for launch. If that charge fails, we will email an invoice payable within 7 days.
  • Deep Audit credit. If you paid for a Deep Audit and then buy a Starter or Growth redesign using the same email address, the Deep Audit fee is credited against your launch balance.
  • Add-ons. Add-ons are billed monthly in advance, starting on the day your site launches. Taking two or more add-ons gives 10% off the add-on total.
  • Processing and taxes. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store full card numbers. Prices exclude any applicable sales tax, which is added where required.
  • Late payment. If the launch balance is unpaid, we may delay or pause the launch. If an add-on payment fails and is not resolved within 14 days, we may suspend that add-on.

5. Refunds and cancellation

  • Deep Audit. If we fail to deliver your Deep Audit report, you receive a full refund. Once the report is delivered, the fee is non-refundable (but is still credited toward a redesign as described above).
  • Redesign deposit:
    • If you cancel before design work starts, we refund 100% of the deposit.
    • If you cancel after we deliver the first design concept but before you approve a design, we refund 50% of the deposit.
    • Once you approve a design, the deposit is non-refundable.
  • Launch balance. The balance is charged only when you approve the finished site for launch, and is non-refundable after launch.
  • Add-ons. Cancel any add-on at any time by emailing contact@prolectio.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing month. We don't refund partial months.
  • How to cancel or request a refund. Email contact@prolectio.com from the address you used to pay. Approved refunds go back to the original payment method, usually within 5–10 business days.

Nothing in this section limits any refund right you have under applicable law.

6. Ownership

Once you have paid in full, you own the final design and the content created specifically for your site, and you may host it anywhere. We keep ownership of our pre-existing tools, code libraries, templates, and know-how, and grant you a perpetual, non-exclusive license to use any of them that are built into your site. You keep ownership of everything you provide to us. Unless you tell us not to, we may show your finished site in our portfolio.

7. Hosting, maintenance and SEO add-ons

While you subscribe to Hosting + Security, we host your site and keep its SSL certificate, backups and security updates current. We will use reasonable efforts to keep it available, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted uptime. Maintenance covers reasonable content edits and updates; larger changes are quoted separately. SEO Monitoring reports on your site's search health and rankings. We do not guarantee any particular ranking, traffic, or revenue. If you cancel hosting, we will provide your site files or help move the site to a host you choose.

8. AI Chatbot add-on

The AI Chatbot answers your visitors' questions using information from your website and anything else you approve, and collects contact details from visitors who want to be reached. Answers are generated by AI and can be wrong. You are responsible for reviewing what it is trained on and for how you use the leads it collects. It does not give medical, legal, or financial advice. Where the law requires it, you are responsible for telling your visitors they are talking to an automated assistant and for your own privacy notice to them. We process visitor conversations on your behalf only to provide the service.

9. Redesign concepts and previews

We sometimes prepare a redesign concept for a business that hasn't asked for one, to show what an updated site could look like. Concepts are labeled as concepts, shown only by private link, excluded from search engines, and not affiliated with or endorsed by that business. Any business may ask us to remove a concept of its site at contact@prolectio.com, and we will.

10. Acceptable use

Don't use our services to break the law, infringe others' rights, send spam, distribute malware, or publish deceptive content. We may decline or stop work that violates these terms.

11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Except as expressly stated in these terms, services are provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the service the claim relates to in the 12 months before the claim.

12. Changes and contact
